Terms of Service

Effective August 5, 2026. Short, because there isn't much to govern yet.

Who we are

Teardown Theory publishes educational engineering videos and sells digital educational products. It is operated as a sole proprietorship from Alberta, Canada.

The content

Our videos and articles are educational entertainment. They explain how things work; they are not professional engineering, safety, or repair advice. Don't open your water heater because a video was compelling. Site and video content is our intellectual property - enjoy it, share links to it, don't republish it as your own.

Digital products

When you buy the Playbook, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it. Don't redistribute or resell it. Purchases are processed by Payhip and Stripe under their terms as well as ours.

Refunds: if the Playbook isn't what you expected, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. We'd rather have your trust than your hundred dollars.

Course content teaches methods that worked for us; results depend on your execution, market, and effort. We make no income guarantees, and anyone who does is selling you something worse.

The waitlist and email

Joining the waitlist means we may email you about the Playbook's launch and progress. Unsubscribe anytime with one reply. See the Privacy Policy for how the address is handled.

Liability

The site and its content are provided as-is. To the maximum extent Alberta law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially, the effective date above changes with them. Questions: [email protected].
